Statistics yay!

On [livejournal.com profile] doctorwho, there's this poll going on about who's on the roof and who isn't. For all the people who haven't seen the 2005 Doctor Who x-mas special: in 2005, the Sycorax came to Earth and used blood control to send all the A positives to the roofs of high buildings, threatening the rest of the population to make them jump if their demands weren't met.

So far, the poll results are as follows:

I'm on the roof: 23 people
I'm not on the roof: 60 people
Why the fuck would I be on any roof?: 9 people

Isn't that the prettiest, shiniest statistics confirmation you've ever seen? If you squint, then the A positives:rest ratio is almost exactly 1:2. Eeh!

Other than that, I'm a little frustrated. I have 2 things I really want to write, and a heap of other things that I wouldn't be opposed to writing, and yet all I'm doing all day is making wallpapers. What is this? Frustrating, that's what it is.

Oh, and re: Torchwood 2x08 - am I wrong in saying that to all intents and purposes, Owen's now a zombie? How do you zombie-phobic people on my f-list feel about that? <= spoilers

ETA: spoilers in the comments!

Icon Meme

Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] eponymous_rose:

If you have an excessive number of icons for any fandom(s), without cheating, try to put them into order based on the show's chronology.

There was more to the meme, but really, I just wanted to play the guessing game and see if I would recognize all my icons. I don't have that many DW icons, only about 16, so I guessed the Torchwood ones as well.

Help me guess! )

I just bought tickets to go to [livejournal.com profile] wihluta's place on Friday! :D

They were fucking expensive :(. They cost me almost 100E (that's ~ $150 or 75 GBP), and that's only half of the regular price. The train people need a reality check, methinks. Flying would be less expensive. If [livejournal.com profile] wihluta's city had an airport, that is.

But still! Yay for buying the tickets!

I cleaned my computer yesterday, and it's all pretty and shiny now, which makes me happy. I thought of a new concept of the Doctor Who darkfic I want to write. I had another vid bunny. I worked today, and my boss is still as stupid as she was the last time I saw her. (Case in point: she wanted me to book her a flight from here to London. It only said 'London' on her note, so I called her to ask which airport she'd like me to book the flight to.

Boss: "Heathrow! There's only the one airport in London!"

... right. Heathrow is the only airport in London. Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and the City Airport are all ruses set up by the government to confuse tourists. I've always suspected that.) Other than that, nothing much is new.

Today, I had a conversation with the Turkish guy who sells Doener at our local subway station, and he told me that he's actually an electro engineer, but isn't allowed to work here in Germany because he would have to do some sort of validation course that takes about five years. He left Turkey because of the shitty political situation, and now that it's gotten a bit better, he's too old to go back. So now he's stuck here and selling Doener.

It's very good Doener, though.
