Statistics yay!

On [livejournal.com profile] doctorwho, there's this poll going on about who's on the roof and who isn't. For all the people who haven't seen the 2005 Doctor Who x-mas special: in 2005, the Sycorax came to Earth and used blood control to send all the A positives to the roofs of high buildings, threatening the rest of the population to make them jump if their demands weren't met.

So far, the poll results are as follows:

I'm on the roof: 23 people
I'm not on the roof: 60 people
Why the fuck would I be on any roof?: 9 people

Isn't that the prettiest, shiniest statistics confirmation you've ever seen? If you squint, then the A positives:rest ratio is almost exactly 1:2. Eeh!

Other than that, I'm a little frustrated. I have 2 things I really want to write, and a heap of other things that I wouldn't be opposed to writing, and yet all I'm doing all day is making wallpapers. What is this? Frustrating, that's what it is.

Oh, and re: Torchwood 2x08 - am I wrong in saying that to all intents and purposes, Owen's now a zombie? How do you zombie-phobic people on my f-list feel about that? <= spoilers

ETA: spoilers in the comments!

LOL, I've been thinking about the Owen/Jack topic for about two hours last night (instead of sleeping like a good girl) and here is my take on it:

Jack is being Life. Owen is now being his opposite, he's Death. Because Jack has absorbed all this life-energy of the Heart of the TARDIS and now cannot die.
Whereas Owen is only 'alive' (and he isn't really alive) because he absorbed all that energy from the Death-Alien.
I really like the idea of them being opposite forces. I could write a whole essay about it and it's implications, but that would probably be tl;dr.

And to come back to your question: No, to me Owen is not a Zombie. Because Zombies do rot and they move strangely and they are generally detestable, whereas Owen is just annoying. ;-)

Ha, yes. Jack was great and it's true that 2x07 was a 'better' ep. But for me they kinda belong together since they're mainly about the same topic - Dead!Owen.

And yes, Owen has always been a little... uhm, stiff. *gg*

Don't get me started on the 'bruise' topic. I mean, you might just as well ask how he's able to talk without breathing, or how he can actually move around without constantly bumping into things when he can't feel anything (never mind the fact - HOW DOES HE MOVE AT ALL?!) I guess as a scifi-er you just gotta believe TPTB a little and forget about common sense. ;-)

I like him better now that he's dead
LOL this is pretty macabre. But true nonetheless.

I see the newly deceased Owen annoying me extremely quickly. Also I figure they either kill him off completely or find some device to 'revive' him permenantly because lets face it, the poor bastard's gonna just fall apart, physically that is. He's already got a hole in his chest, permenantly broken fingers and a gash across his palm!
