Because I don't want to be sad. David is doing the right thing for himself and for the show by leaving, and it's going to be exciting getting a new Doctor, getting a new show and seeing David go be brilliant in other productions, movies and shows. Because he doesn't have to be the Doctor to be amazing, and Doctor Who doesn't need him to be the Doctor to be a wonderful show. It's like ice cream and chocolate syrup: together, they're a dream, but they're pretty awesome each on their own as well.
