Wehee, I finally found the option where I could set my default language to English. Now I don't get all the options in German anymore, which is a relief, since the German ones take up much more space than the English ones. Besides, LJ's menu is only half translated, which means if your default language is German, you'll get the menu half in English, half in German, which is if not confusing, then at least irritating.
