Vid! Mwahaha!!

I'm making a vid! Playing with ideas anyway. One idea. The one I had you playing with waaaay back in April in this post! That bunny didn't die, no-no. It's just that my vid bunnies are more vid turtles - they take a looooong long time to mature *gg*.

I need a proper prog to do vidding, though! I've been using Sony Vegas, but it does this annoying thing about not wanting any encoded avi's, and I really can't be bothered to run all my eps through WMM first to decode them. Pinnacle is weird in some way, too, I've heard, about the frames thing. And WMM, well, hardeharhar.

Any ideas?

ETA 4 hours later: I spent the last four hours trying to find a vid program that would do what I wanted. Tried Pinnacle, ULead and WMM, and finally dloaded Adobe Premiere. In none of these four progs did I manage to get even only the first clip into the timeline.

terribly sorry to not be able to help you about the prog, hope someone else can, because I really want a vid about the drugs at PPTH... They're all constantly high anyway. :-)
Plus I realized that House already steals Vicodin in the VERY FIRST EP!!(the "change for a dollar-scene") It never occured to me before (yes I am THAT slow sometimes. Took me about 12 re-watchings of Friends to finally get that one joke about the monkey...)

Heh. Well, I've never watched Friends and don't know anything about monkeys, but you're right, he does steal Vicodin. I've been skimming the pilot for the Clinic-I'm-Dr.-Asshole-Who-Wants-Me scene (not finding it, ahhh, I'm so useless with vids ^^) and rewatched that bit, but it didn't occur to me that it was illegal for him to take the pills because he prescribed them himself. Heh heh. Something Tritter overlooked. *plotbunny*

well, it only occured to me that he's actually stealing them, because of the Tritter arc. I mean a doctor is not supposed to write himself prescriptions(we learned that lesson well). Which means, he must have written that prescription for the hypochondriac-guy and then HE took the pills himself and gave hypo-guy the candys. ergo: he stole them.

Pinnacle doesn't like 23fps clips, which is basically anything ripped from American/Canadian TV (like, say, all your House episodes (and half of mine)). And I'm using WMM at the moment despite the whole imported/not imported messages, so nyeh.

All I can think of is to take a look around here. There's no concise guide, more of a general consensus that this program is better than that one, another one is less buggy, and so on.

Bweehee *sniff* I remember now why I hate vid making so much. Dloaded Pinnacle - couldn't find a proper crack. And then the uncracked thingie did only about half the things I wanted it to. I'm back to using WMM now... but ACK! ACK! ACK! it won't let me clip the way I want!! *strangles Bill Gates*

I'm downloading a cracked version of the All New!Viciously Expensive!Vista-friendly Pinnacle (yeah, I'm bitter about vs9 not working on here), hopefully it'll do what I want (ie let me me make shiny Atlantis and BSG vids). Here's to hoping, anyway ;)
