Receptors whut?

Huuh, I just did that presentation stuff I didn't do yesterday, and I so totally don't get the whole alpha beta receptor stuff. In the tissue of the heart, beta receptors do this, and in the internal organs, they do that, which is a big deal even though the beta receptors in the heart are not of the same type as those in the organs... what?

Whatever. I'm actually posting to say sorry in case I failed to comment on any of your posts that you thought I should have commented on! I put a few Doctor Who comms on my f-list - sort of like a trial period; those that annoy me will get dumped soon - and at the moment, my f-list is moving at an incredible speed. So, I'm not ignoring you, I'm just slow ;P.

Going to have to be at uni until 6pm today. I was here at 10.45am. WAY TOO LONG! Well, at least I managed to acquire a seat at one of the internet terminals ;D.

ETA 4.30pm: Ha, failed to read my schedule properly. Am home now. Yays :D.

Oh I´m glad, quite glad. I can´t say how much because I wouldn´t like the idea that the beta receptors (whatever they are doing) in my heart are the same as in my rectum I guess. ;-)
Hm, what is it about the stuff that the heart is the home of the soul??? Wow, the soul has to share her place with a lot of other stuff, blood, beta receptors, venes and so on and so on.
Uaaah, my braincell gives me a lot of quite disgustingly imagines, aarrrrgh T_EYLA!!!

Hee, lol. Well, you know, the intestinal tract has its very own nervous system. The only thing the brain has to do with the nervous system of the intestinal tract is that it sort of modulates its activity. Aside from that, the intestinal tract is pretty much autonomous.

Which is weird, if you think about it for too long ;).

ah, well, on the one hand I think it's quite good that you're away these days. Makes me study more. On the other hand, I really miss the chatting.
