I has a fandom

So I spent this evening watching Mountie on the Bounty with [livejournal.com profile] tli. Then I went online and told [livejournal.com profile] ignazwisdom about it, who told me that she was just watching that same episode in a fangirl chat. So I sent [livejournal.com profile] tli to bed (nah, she went volutarily. REALLY!) and joined in and watched the episode all over again. Lots of fun. I got a blooper reel out of it, and those bloopers are really fucking funny. After that, I wanted to go to bed but ended up reading [livejournal.com profile] ignazwisdom's Ray K/Fraser fics instead. And now I wanted to let you all know that I am officially in two fandoms at the same time, which, as [livejournal.com profile] neery would be able to tell you, is about as untypical for me as it would be for Fraser to steal his best friend's food or for House not to do it.

Also, I flipped through my notebook today and found a bunch of stories that I can't remember writing. I was convinced that there was only some of the migraine fic, bits of stabbed Wilson and parts of my other two current WIPs in there. I was mistaken. It was like reading somebody else's notebook, which was creepy and cool at the same time.

[livejournal.com profile] tli and I went to see 1408 today, which was a very cool movie. It's based on a short story by Stephen King, which he only wrote because he needed a short story for his On Writing novel to demonstrate how he goes about the writing thing. And they made a movie out of it. I want to be Stephen King.

I'm thinking about coming to the UK for uni. German uni sucks. Anything you can tell me about uni, medicine, international applying etc etc in the UK will be very very helpful. Thanks! :)

Okay, the UK uni thing I can't help you with right now, but my freshers' week starts next Monday so after that I can try to answer any questions, if that helps?

I saw 1408. I thought it started well and then fell to pieces in the middle, to be honest, but I did think it was scary. But then I thought the TRAILER was scary, so there you go.

dS is really badly scheduled over here, but ITV4 is showing it and I'm trying to catch it when I can. I've loved that show since I was about 7.

hehe - welcome to the club of people who are struggling to get through two fandoms at the same time. It can be timeconsuming. But you already know that. ;-)

I got your letter, btw, and I will start watching soon, too. :-)

I sadly can't help you with the uni-stuff, all I know is that you could at least do an Erasmus year/semester, if nothing else works out.
I'm otping on going to Laurie Land for my 'Referendariat' too, so maybe next year, we'll both have emigrated there... *wishful thinking*

I know so little about uni that I'm actually on a national list of students who can go to unis free for a day to help us learn. You can only get in if neither of your parents went to uni.

So yeah, I'll be no help. But come! We'd love to have you ;D
