Meme!

Booh! I have another meme! One of those creepy manipulative make-people-tell-you-things-about-themselves one. Just that this one works the other way 'round ;).

If you comment, I'll...

1. Tell you why I friended you.
2. Associate you with something. A fandom, a song, a colour, a piece of fruit. SOMETHING.
3. Tell you something I like about you.
4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
5. Associate you with a character/pairing.
6. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you. (Or else I'll just ask a random question. I reserve that right.)
7. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
8. In return, you must spread this disease in your LJ.

(if you want, you can ignore #8 - unless, of course, you're worried the Meme Stasi might get you ;) )

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want -- good or bad. If you're so inclined, post this meme exercise on your own LJ and be surprised (or mortified!) about what people remember about you.

Your story Alone entirely blew me away. It was at that stage that I started stalking your journal.... ;-)

#5 I associate you with Wilson. I love the way you write Wilson in your fics :)

Oooh, thank you! *melts with happiness*

#6 I'm a lawyer :)

#7 I have to confess that WilsonLaserEyes isn't mine :) I just have it in my icons to drool at from time to time. I think [Unknown site tag] made it.

I forgot to put the meme on my page!

*trots off to fix that now*

That was meant to be pirate_eggie :)

pot bunnies LOL! :) They must be the ones that live under Wilson's office table!

law beta

I can try :) I reckon it's significantly different over there, though.

Anything to do with law makes me want to hide under a very low table.

Me too, increasingly! I think I'd like to become a professional reader of Housefics instead!

Thanks for your kind comments re: my bathroom icon :) The idea of them living happily ever in the bathroom makes me laugh!

We should get an office "Housepiglet & T'eyla - We tell you where to get your next fics" ^^.

Great idea! :)

*goes off to research it*

^^ For me, you're the master of devious!Wilson ;).

I forgot to thank you for that! *is happy* :)

First thing I remember about you is when we started talking about ST and SG, I think it was in chaoskir's journal... I was sooo happy to have finally found someone who's as crazy about the shows as I am. :-)

"6) Hmm. When you chose your course of study, did you consider any alternatives?"
--- yeah actually I did, first I wanted to be a "Restauratorin" because I like working with my hands, but I was to lazy to make a folder with artworks and stuff, so I chose the easier option. During the last couple years or so, I've been thinking about, how grreat it would be to work in the film-industry. Not in front of camera, though, but something in the crew, like models, costumes... stuff like that. Maybe I'll follow that up, once I finished my studies... :-)

I have to say, I've never been associated with a Twister board, but I really like the idea!! Thanks!
#5- Do you mean House or Hugh?? anyway, thank you sooo much... :-) (even if it sounds stupid or arrogant, which it isn't meant to be, but I actually see a lot of myself in House, I guess that's why I like the show so much.)

I agree with you on the smart thing and I too am not that antisocial. But sometimes, when I'm in a good mood and had lot's of chocolate (which is my vicodin, it get's me soooo high...seriously) I'm almost as witty as House. ;-) My friends hate me for it.

Action figures on the beach. 'Nuff said ;)

Is Travis' leg still bothering him?
Um... I don't know? He's in a box in the garage somewhere, I think. He's hibernating ;)

completely hypothetical and cracky conversations with you that never get boring.
No teeth ;)

4) No teeth! You still owe me that one
Very true. Think you can wait until after my essay deadlines?? ;)

If you could ask your favorite author for your perfect fanfic, which fandom would that be, which pairing, what would it be about and who's the author?
Oh, bugger. I can think of the 'perfect fanfic' for most of the fandoms I read. Trouble is I don't have an absolute favourite author in each of those fandoms. And most of the fics I'd like to see written are usually detailed plotlines that I know I'm never going to write myself.

I could tell you just about everything but the author, though ;)
SGA - McKay/Lorne - Sheppard/Weir/Team start giving Rodney the cold shoulder after 'Trinity', forcing him to turn elsewhere for company. He helps Halling and the Athosians on the mainland build a Roman-style irrigation system, and starts hanging out with Lorne and Heightmeyer in Atlantis, becoming slightly confused when both seem to be flirting with him. Harvest time comes, and Halling celebrates McKay's involvement in the event, much to the surprise of almost all of the expedition, and later that night back in Atlantis a drunken Lorne shows up at Rodney's door and jumps him (eloquent, huh? ;) ). Morning after and beyond to be left to author's discretion, lol.

Most of my plot bunnies have been spawning epics for some time now, pretty much since the days of MW and MVD, and the idea of sitting down and actually starting to write one/more of said bunnies is really rather daunting ^^

OMG -- You have action figures of ST??? That's soooo cool, I habve the complete crew of TNG and some of Voyager and DS9. I've never seen any of Enterprise though, do they really exist???

ext_24067: (Default)

[identity profile] wihluta.livejournal.com 2007-04-16 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
That is sooo cool! Are they the same size as the old ones from TNG? because for 'first contact' they made bigger ones, so you can't really play with them all together, because the sizes don't match... which is really annoying.

(Ok, I guess I should say now that I don't really play with them, unless I'm together with my little nephews/nieces, but, you know... ) ;-)

I guess I should say now that I don't really play with them
I do ;) Or rather, I did before going to university. They lived on a shelf in my bedroom with half the NX-01 bridge, and got a pumpkin for Hallowe'en, and a miniature Christmas tree (I'm not weird...). On my desk at uni, I have a bat'leth wielding Klingon, Trip, and Malcolm holding a scale mace I bought in Germany last summer.

No idea how tall they are though, I'd have to dig one out of the garage and measure ;)

[identity profile] wihluta.livejournal.com 2007-04-17 08:36 am (UTC)(link)
Ohh I wish I had a bat'leth... or better not, I'd probably end up thrashing my apartment with it... :-)
has any one of you ever been to a convention??

[identity profile] rusty-armour.livejournal.com 2007-04-16 03:29 pm (UTC)(link)
As you commented for my meme, I will happily return the favour. Well, that is if you have time. The only problem with this particular meme is that it's a little time-consuming. *g*

Oh, man! I just realized that I have to come up with another memory for you. Okay, this will probably sound lame, but I remember the first time you emailed me and we became cyber buds. :-)

[identity profile] rusty-armour.livejournal.com 2007-04-16 04:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, hm, another memory. I remember the email you wrote me about Metamorphosis. It made my head swell to three times its normal size, and I was running around all day grinning like an idiot ;).

Oh, good! After the very kind feedback you gave me for Timepiece, I'm glad I was also able to boost your ego when it came to Metamorphosis! :-)

This might sound a little lame since I already asked [livejournal.com profile] housepiglet the same thing, but I'm asking anyways: What do you do for a living?

Nothing very exciting. I'm an editor (a citation editor to be specific) at a publisher specializing in legal material (e.g. books, databases, etc.). I basically spend my days reading Canadian court cases. (*Yawn*) *g*

Aww! *beams*

Someone likes my icons! *squee* lol

To answer your question I really couldn't imagine living anywhere else apart from the UK, I've only ever lived in Scotland and England - anywhere else would just feel really weird!!
