Casanova layout

I wrote myself a new layout. Apparently, I seem to have different color settings than everyone else, because people are telling me that it's an invisible layout. I can see it, though, and I don't feel like re-doing all the graphics, so it's staying invisible for now. To not see it, click here: t_eyla

I wish someone would tell my why the z-index command never works for me.

There was something I wanted to tell you guys, but I forgot. D: I was gonna link you to a lolcat to make up for lack of content in this post, but there are no funny ones on ICHC today. Internet, why so fail?

My favorite comfort food is Butter Tart Squares (http://canadianbaker.blogspot.com/2006/03/butter-tart-squares.html). They remind me of home and I miss them terribly. I may have to bake some soon ...

Ooh, those look yummy :D. And the post mentions Tim Horton's in the comments. Tim Horton's is one of the reasons I really, really want to go to Canada again. If I ever do, I'll remember to try the butter tart squares. :)

Cool! I did test the layout in IE7 and Firefox 2, so I know the structure is okay in those browsers, but apparently, some of the colors are too light to show up with some color settings. Ah well, I'll change it when I have time :). Thanks for checking!

You'll probably find butter tarts, which are the same except with pastry tart shells instead of a shortcrust bottom type thing. I do the bars because the taste is basically the same and I can't make pastry to save my life. <3

I would tell you about my favorite comfort food, but I’m not allowed to eat it, because it’s horribly bad for me and full of calories and not that those pretend calories, the real ones, that have taste and everything, so I’m not telling, because then I would think about it and want to it, and leave the house to go buy it, except now I am thinking about it and rambling in run-ons. Hunger will do that to you. :0)

I can't see your new layout and random things in my currently life are:
1. The light-war with my boss. Yes it goes on........
2. Massive problems with Seppel
3. Next week I do have 4 days no internet
4. I rather watch Supernatural as Dr. Who (currently)
5. I'm soooo much boring that I tell you that stuff
6. One of my balcony visitors (squirrels) has a damaged leg. So I called him House. (He doesn't use a cane by climbing to my balcony)

Urrgh, don't ask again to random things in your comment. See, what it caused. Now you have to live with those comment. But *sigh* you know it's from the stupidest person in the whole universe.

- What what? SPN is bad! I admit it's trainwrecky, therefore I watch it, too, but Doctor Who is so much better! If you really hate Rose this much, you should just read the episode summaries and skip to season 3. ;) (Or you could just ignore me. TV shows are, after all, a matter of taste.)

Exspecially it's what he doesn't does: I mean he can't start. At least not alone. I always have to put the recovery CD into him and say he should start from those CD. But than, I have to leave it before he is doing starting from the CD and after that he can start (at least for one time) and I can use him. That's really very annoying and today it doesn't works good. I have to try it several times *sigh*
Yeah 4 days no internet. I don't know how I should survive but I did it while my summer vacation and I'll survive again. I hope *sigh*
SPN isn't that bad but it's really not my favorite show. I guess you are right. I should read the epi summary and start with season two of Dr. Who. And no *lol* I can't ignore you and your opinions about tv-shows. Well, IE6 produced, erm, interesting results when loading your new layout - posts with no text in them whatsoever but the corresponding icons nicely visible, and the lack of ability to highlight any of the text found on the whole mis-loaded-looking page. But Opera did better, it actually loaded the whole page and all the posts, plus highlighting works. Dunno what color you were going for, but the background is white on white, with the header pic and the custom rulers the only bits of color on the page (other than the text and icons, that is).

Also, hey, you *wrote* your own layout? Remind me to jump all over you one day so I can beg you to explain how some of the in-depth working of lj layouts work... Because s2flexisquares has this piece of coding that can sort tags by type, as seen on their comm page, but I have no idea how to implement it, seeing how I dunno layout programming from a bird hiding in the bush. Er, yeah.

Hee, yeah, I didn't customize this layout for IE6. It's IE7 compatible - since Microsoft finally released a browser that's at least half-way compatible with some standard CSS commands, I've decided to ignore IE6 from now on. Making layouts compatible for both IE6 and more modern browsers is more or less impossible without either unclean coding or separate style sheets. :/

And yeah, the color scheme is supposed to be lots of white. It's just that some people said they couldn't see the text, which puzzled me a little, since it's supposed to be this color.

Lol, I do enjoy writing LJ layouts, and have written quite a few, but I have not yet been able to figure out how to do the tag-by-type sorting. But there's a Flexible Squares layout support community that has, as far as I know, a tutorial about that. If you're interested, I can find out more, and maybe get the link.

Hee, yeah (it's contagious! *g*) I totally missed the fact that you write layouts - that's totally cool.

I'm always on the look-out for a new theme for the comm I maintain sgagenrefinders, and there's two things I care about: that the tag lists has some nicely visible buttons and is wholly visible on the main page, and that one day I'll be able to get the tag-by-type thing on it.

...Which is kind of a moot point, as the development area is off limits to not-paid accounts, anyway. Oh well.

Also, thanks for the links - I'm checking out your lovely creations now - and no worries about the tag-by-type thing, I've been finding codes all over the place for it once I started looking through the right comms. Just thought it might look good on your layout, is all.

I can see your layout - the divider, the swirly thing and the main graphic, but as I said I can't see your text very clearly.

My favorite comfort food is chocolate - fairly obvious one. But I'm going on a diet, so no more chocolate for me.

Random stuff: I am sleepy (going to bed obscenely late will do that to a girl, apparently), and I need to stop eating comfort food as I am gaining weight again and I should be loosing weight, and I now have my bionic leg for exactly 6 months and 1 day now and I'm still on a f*cking crutch which means I probably will be for the rest of my life *grumbles* *grumbles some more* *sobs*
