Stargate
Wee! Daniel's back, and we've got Wraith!
Joy! Not only Daniel's back, but Jack as well, and they're doing the Jack/Daniel thing as if the last few seasons hadn't happened. Daniel kidnaps Jack, and Jack actually ruffles Daniel's hair! Not that I don't very much enjoy the Daniel/Vala thing, but Jack/Daniel is just so - well, there, that it never failes to make me smile (or curse Jack for being an ignorant prick ;) ).
As to the plot- uh, well, Orai killing. Nothing new there. Even though I thought they killed off Adria a little too easy. Assuming she's dead. They weren't so clear on that. Vala didn't do any of the Angst thing, so Adria probably isn't dead yet. Pity - she was annoying. Is annyoing. Whatever.
I wonder if Jack appearing in this episode means that he'll be there for the movies as well. Anyone know any news about that?
I gotta say this, though, I didn't really like Daniel in this episode. For one thing, he had that weird prior look which really doesn't suit him, and for another, Jack's right for once saying that Daniel's a little full of himself. Which is even worse in his character because that's juat so not-Daniel. I hope he'll dial back on that in the next few episodes.
How many do we have left, anway? This one was number 14, how many are there to season 10? Twenty? Six more episodes and two movies to finish off the Orai. Well, the priors of the Orai. And Adria. That should work.
Lol, remeber how it took them more than four seasons to kill off Apophis? That guy was resilient.
Superwraith! Murderous superbugs with claws! Yay!
Well, if SG-1 can do the Supersoldier thing, I guess SGA can have Superwraith. And I like the way Michael's coming back to haunt them. I mean, the Lantians have never been very high on morale and ethics, but even for them the Michael thing was a little over the top, what with killing two hundred people by blasting them to pieces from orbit and everything. I guess they deserve to have to pay for that a little.
I just wish they'd chosen another actor to play Michael. Trip as Dr. Doom, doing genetic engineering to create huge, slimey bugs with an anger management problem to overtake the galaxy... nah, not really. I keep expecting Malcolm to come around the corner, telling Michael time's up, come on home, dinner's ready.
Rodney and Ronon sparring was priceless. "Are you weak?!" "Uh - *trembles* - n-no...". Ah, a friend of mine found something you should check out ::click here for YouTube Vid:: - I have to warn you, though: there's terrible top-of-nineties-charts-synthesizer-pop music involved. Don't watch if you've got a weak stomach (or sensetive eardrums).
I deleted all my emails! And my bookmarks! And my whole Thunderbird address book!
No, not on purpose. Definitely not on purpose. Never, repeat never believe Windows! I thought I'd learned that by now, but apparently, I haven't. If Windows tells you to sweep your hard drive, don't. Thunderbird and Firefox save profiles in the Temp folder! Don't ask my why, or how, or why, or why the hell they would do that, but they do. And then you go and sweep your HD like a good girl, and all your profiles are gone. I stayed up till 6 in the morning last night, trying to recover at least the emails (at least three years worth of emails!), but no luck. It's all gone with the wind to data heaven, celebrating with the two X-Files seasons my other hard drive killed two years ago when it crashed.
Yeah, I know, backup's the word. I guess I'll never learn.
