Also, I think Jesus is much more human and fragile and angry in JCS, which (esp drawing from his performance in "Life On Mars") I think John would capture with way more subtlety than most.
Have you seen the modern movie version of JCS? It's got some horrible bits (like Judas' singing) but I like it because it's more on edge than the 70's version. There's a sense of abject bitterness, and oh man the Final Supper scene... so angry! I like the feeling of "you left me no choice, and I'm really not happy about it" that I get from Judas, and I think David has that down pat.
But yeah. Kidnap them and hold them hostage until they obey.
