Doctor Who and some RL Stuff
There has been a severe infestation of real life posts on this journal lately. I apologize. RL has been a real attention whore lately. I hope that'll change soon.
Mhmm, warm coffee and refrigerated chocolate pudding. Nothing works better to ruin the enamel, lol - and it's extremely tasty.
Right, RL update and some fannish stuff.
First of all: my tenth Doctor costume arrived! And it fits! More or less, lol ;). It stinks of clothes factory, and something will have to be done about that, because otherwise I'll get migraines wearing it. Other than that, though, it's very awesome. wihluta promised me a tie, and I really do hope that my parents will give me those Converse for xmas, since I asked so nicely. I'll upload pictures as soon as the costume is complete.
Speaking of Doctor costumes, that new suit I've seen David Tennant wearing? Either the man had a sudden fit of terrible taste in clothing, or that suit really is the new suit for Ten, which is just... no. Squares! Why would they give him squares??!
I just had the terrible thought that I really don't want to know what would happen if one were to combine the terrible black squares suit and the horrific yellow squares shirt Wilson wears in the s3 finale. Waah, brain bleach plz!
More clothes talk: I bought myself tons of clothing today. Well, no, not really. I hate buying clothes, so I almost never do it. I really needed a new pair of pants, though, and that white shirt, and so I went today. And then I remembered all the stuff that I actually did need, like, a new bra, for example, and ended up buying clothes for about €100. Gah. Spending money on clothes always feels like such a damn waste. But at least I got this out of the way for another four months or so.
I've decided that I won't be going back to uni this year. I hate it soooooo damn much, and I want to quit anyway, so there's no point in sitting through those last four hours of biochem. It does feel a little weird, though - a little scary. I don't think I ever quit anything big before.
I'll talk to my parents on the week-end, and then I'll send off my applications till the 15th of January. I'll be doing that no matter whether they agree with my plans or not. If I get into one of the courses, it won't be before fall 2008, and there's no way I'm going back to medicine, anyway. So I'll send my applications, and then I'll get a job, and when fall comes around and my parents still don't want to support me, I might be able to pay for the first few months of maintenance myself - to give me time to find a job. I'm hoping that if I do it this way, my parents will cave sooner rather than later - I mean, they should cave earlier. Actually, I'm hoping they'll cave this week-end. Gah. This whole dealing with the family thing makes my poor anti-social personality twitch.
There was more stuff I wanted to tell you, but I forgot. There's this, which contains Doctor Who s4 casting spoilers and is another perfect example that warning for spoilers really isn't as easy as it sounds. Other than that, I don't know what I wanted to say. I might remember and edit later on.
I hope you are all having a wonderful couple of pre-Christmas days, and in the more or less likely case we won't talk before then, I wish you a lot of fun on the 24th/25th. We'll see each other after the Xmas Special at the latest! ;)
