Dr Who Time Crash
Agdfpfrdngt. This fandom makes me so ridiculously happy!
I have always been a sucker for lots of canon. Lots of canon is brilliant, you've got a history to build your world on, you've got all those characters and little details and weird stuff they did to keep the show going which now only makes it even more fun and original. I adored the big Star Trek universe, it was like having not only a playground, but a whole amusement park to play in.
Dr. Who is the same. Only even more awesome, because the show is a lot quirkier than Star Trek to begin with. The TARDIS, the mysterious character of the Doctor, the ever-changing companions, the robot-villains and so on.
And now they're playing with their canon. I have never seen one episode with the Fifth Doctor, but this little 7 minutes thing made me happy beyond reason all the same. Because - imagine being David Tennant and playing in that short scene with that person that you fanboyed when you were eleven. I mean, only the idea makes me breathless with squee. I don't know how DT managed without asphyxiating. He does look and sound seriously freaked out in the confidential, though. Incredulous, happy, and COMPLETELY freaked out. Hah, I know I'd be.
Btw, have you noticed how DT almost always uses the word "surreal" to describe how it feels to be playing the Doctor? Actually, I never knew how to pronounce it until I heard him use it in pretty much every interview he's given, lol ;D.
This short scene was so meta, it made my brain implode or something. Omg, shiny new fandom. So much love. ♥
