Hello New People!
Since I started posting stabbed!Wilson, my f-list has grown a bit, which is nice. Now, I'd like to get to know y'all a bit better! :)
I'm gonna disclose some stuff about me under the cut. If you want to and feel like it, you're welcome to comment telling me about yourself. If you prefer not to and just hang out for the fic, though, that's fine with me, too :).
My real name is Martha, but on the internets I go by T'eyla. This nick is not a referal to SGA. SGA aired after I'd already gone by that name for more than a year.
I'm female, 21 and live in Germany. English is not my first language, which is the reason why you will occasionally find weird phrasings and mistakes in my entries. I try to keep my fic free of them, but I don't always succeed.
I'm in the first year of med school. Anatomy was insanely annoying, but the stuff we're doing now is shaping up to be more interesting, if terribly complicated. I will whine a lot about having to study and memorize stuff ^^.
I'm terribly lazy and procrastinate a lot. Which might be why I'm such a merciless spammer. The days I don't post to my LJ are rare.
Fandom-related, I'm active in House MD at the moment. I was active in Star Trek: Enterprise before (for four years! Zomg!); then I had a brief SGA interlude around Christmas '06. I didn't get around to writing anything for this fandom, but I have made one SGA vid ;). After that (March '07) I ended up in the House fandom. House/Wilson is my OTP, and Inever rarely read anything else.
I do not share the all-fandom first time kink. I prefer established relationship fics (especially as far as writing fic is concerned).
neery tells me that's a sign of being a sociopath ;).
I write a lot. I finish only a small part of all the fics I start writing. I will whine about that a lot, too. Oh, and getting concrit is the best thing about writing, so please, if you ever have anything concritty to say, don't hold back, please!
Aside from fandom, my free time activities are: web-design, reading (as in, reading books, not fanfic ;) ), playing the guitar, going to concerts, and as of recently, drawing (from time to time). Although my drawings are usually fandom related ^^.
My favorite band is Tool, and if you don't know them, you should totally go and get some of their music, liek now. They're amazing. I also like Metallica and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and too many other bands to list them here.
My favorite food changes every day. Right now, I'd love to have a baked potato. With lots of sour cream. Mhmm... ^^.

Heh. Yes, it's a rather complicated language. All that "der, die, dass" stuff - I'm very glad it comes automatically to me ^^.
Your English is excellent-did you learn it when you were little?
Thank you :) and no, not really. I was born in 1986, and my family lived in Texas during 1987. I don't remember any of that, though. I've been to the States a few times since (three times), and once to Canada and England each. I learned English in school and by reading English novels and talking English on the internet ^^. I've also been writing English fanfiction since 2003 - those early attempts are defnintely not flawless as far as the language is concerned ;).
I don't speak any other languages, though. I tried to learn French, but it didn't work out. Spanish sounds interesting, though - my sister had to learn it for uni, and she made it sound like fun ^^.

I tried to learn French, but it didn't work out. I've always wanted to try it, but I don't know if I could get the whole nasal tone French has to work. I'd probably sound like a cat with a hairball. *g*
So, out of the US, Canada, and England, what did you like and not like?
no subject
I've always been a fan of the States. Not of the politics or anything like that, but of the country itself. So big, so many different people, so much cool and amazing nature, deserts, forests, mountains, sea, snow... it's so multi-sided. That's why I like the States best out of the three countries.
What I don't like about the States is obviously the government. I actually hate Bush on a very personal basis because he's screwing with the country that I have loved ever since I was old enough to articulate it and is making people hate it.
I loved Canada, too, though. Almost as much as the States, except for the fact that I hate cold weather. The perfect place for me to live would be the desert ;).
I stayed in England only for a week, so I can't say too much about this country. I absolutely loved Brighton. The atmosphere in that city is amazing.
I think what I wouldn't like about living in England is the fact that it's such a small country. Germany's small already, England is even smaller. And an island. I like my countries big, plz ;).

And for some reason I can never remember that England is an island. I never picture it being that small, but it is.
What do you like about Germany? *g* (*full of curiosity*)

In the U.S., most people are 18 when they finish secondary school and enter university, if they don't take any time off. University (undergraduate) takes four years on average, after which one can start applying to med schools or law schools or graduate schools. So ... are you saying you're pre-med?

In a year (after 4 semesters), I will have to take the Physikum exam, which is a huge exam on everything from the first two years - which is all non-clinical stuff; anatomy, histology, chemistry, physics, biology, biochemistry, psychology, physiology etc.
When I have passed the Physikum (if I pass it :P), I will start on the clinical part of the 13 semesters - that's when I'll learn about all the pathologic -ologies; radiology, pharmacology, hematology etc.
The last two semesters are a practical period where I will practice as semi-doctor in a hospital (as a rule, that year's spent mainly drawing blood, since in Germany nurses aren't allowed to do that ;) ).
After that, there's an exam on the whole clinical part. They call it the killer-exam :P. And after that I'm a doctor. Then I can start specializing ^^.

hehe - the first danger of being a fangirl is turning into one of the characters! *gg*
And: Cool, you playing guitar. I play harmonica, flute and accordeon. We should so totally get together and start a band!! ;-)
Great, now I want a baked potato too. But with baked beans, tuna and butter. Like I had in Laurie-land.

lol SOMEBODY GIVE ME A CANE! ;)
You know, there's an actual chance of me getting the Flame!cane for a late bday present *if* I manage to get off my lazy ass and organize a late bday party.
I so want that cane.
Heh, I don't play the guitar very well, though. I'd rather... sing! *starts singing*
(and if you can tell me where this quote was from, I will grant you my everlasting love. Or something ^^.)

LOL--- I've been thinking about stealing my grandpas old cane (it's exactly like the foldable one House uses sometimes - and my grandpa's in a wheelchair now, he doesn't need it any more) and walking around in House-fashion, but that might be going too far. *gg*
You know, there's an actual chance of me getting the Flame!cane for a late bday present
that would be sooooooo cool! You should def. host a party, if only to get that cane! :-)
Heh, I don't play the guitar very well, though. I'd rather... sing!
that rings a bell, that rings a bell... but I can't quite tell you the tune... ARGH! If you want to mock me now, go ahead, my brain deserves it! :-)
no subject
Nah, no mocking. It's from Monty Python's The Quest For The Holy Grail (the son of King of Swamp castle is supposed to marry some princess, but he's not at all interested. He'd rather... sing! *gg*).
no subject
My friends gave me a chocolate fountain for my last bday, cause they wanted to try out a choc-fountain and not have to clean up later. That's even worse! *gg*
Nah, no mocking. It's from Monty Python's The Quest For The Holy Grail
I knew I knew that quote!! :-)
*runs*

Yeah you know me so this comment is slightly pointless :P But in the grand scheme of yay not only has the computer been replaced (with almost working internet WOO!) I have a laptop too!! (nicknamed David junior in honour of its aged predecessor who met an unfortunate end due to harddrive corruption)
Right, now for something I thought up earlier when reading the post - sour cream?! Thats...thats...actually I can't comment because I don't think I've ever eaten it, I'm more of a sweet than a sour person :P
Ahh I remember the good old days when you wrote enterprise fic *grins* Mind you your House fic is the only House fic I read (Im lazy)
*shrugs* Yeah I'm tailing off now :P G'night!

Sour cream isn't sour! It kinda tastes like cream cheese. Lots of fat! Mhmm ^^.

This is the sweetest thing ever. Thank you :) *hugs*.

We have the English version, with Spanish subtitles, airing in Universal Channel. Every day at five am all the episodes starting from Season 1 (they started two weeks ago) -- then, at eight pm on Thursdays, the last week's Season 3 episode -- then, at nine pm on Thursdays, a new Season 3 episode (last week's was Fetal Position) -- and last, at four pm on Sundays, the same episode aired on Thursday at nine.
And then we have the Spanish version, which I don't watch 8P, on Wednesdays at eight pm. I think they are on the final Season 1 episodes.
