Oh, House and Wilson love each other, and no 3rd season can change anything about that.
*has just watched the highlights of the cohab arc*
And my fingertips hurt. Yesterday and today, I've played the guitar for the first time in what must have been at least half a year. And now I'm going ow-ow-ow when I type ;).
What annoys me most, though, even more than the fact that I blew my chem exam today, is that I can't seem to write that stupid scene. It didn't work out from Wilson's POV, and it didn't feel right from House's POV either. Give me plotty plots and angsty one-shots, and I'll write you an epic in two weeks. Give me one damn human-interaction scene, and I'll hurt myself trying to write it.

I smell a vid :) (I hope...)
Guitar! Best instrument in the world :) Acoustic/classical/electric?
It's very frustrating when a scene won't work out. I know the feeling well. It sounds intriguing, though. I like human interaction stories :) I hope you can find a way through it.
Hard luck on the chemistry exam. Are you sure you blew it?

Pretty much, yeah ;). No hard luck, though; it was totally and completely my own fault, because I let my laziness and my hate for chemistry get the better of me and didn't study. I can take it again in June, though.

Absolutely! Acousting steel string. And I can only play chords; as soon as I start to pick, my fingers tangle up and the strings pop ;). My guitar "skills" are self-taught, and I basically only taught myself so I had something to sing along to ;).
Do you play the guitar? What kind?

It's torture! *feels very sorry for herself* ;)
I don't know why I'm making such a fuss about that scene. I should just sit down and write it. But everytime I try, what comes out is worse than HAM fanfiction written by a fourteen year old :S.

I'm sure that's not true :) Still, I know how you feel.
I've put my name down for a couple of
tunestunes?! Ahem... prompts, over at Housefic, in the House_Fest thingy. Are you planning to have a go? This is the first challenge thingy that's been around since I've been here, so I'm quite excited. I can't quite decide how to start, though.no subject
I'm always amazed at people who can actually pick a guitar. It's like watching a juggler juggle so many balls you can't even count them while you watch. I can pick exactly one song on the guitar, and believe me, it took me at least five weeks to learn that one.
I'm more into the singing part, anyway, though. I love singing, and I'm reasonably good at it, too - even though I only have a range of maybe one octave (I'm pretty good at pitching my voice down/up an octave while singing along to a favorite song of mine ;) ).
Are you planning to have a go?
Probably not. I'm terrible at writing for a deadline. Give me a deadline, and I freeze up. I look forward to reading what the house_fest produces, though! ;)

I'm delighted to hear that your father does Midi too! I've hardly ever come across anyone else who does. What sort of music does he write?
As for the guitar picking, for the first 6 months or so my head was in a permanent spin. I clearly remember angsting over picking patterns even in the lift at work :) It's like riding a bike or learning to touch-type, though: suddenly it starts to fall into place, and then there you go :)
What sort of singing do you do? Are you in a choir? I've thought about a choir a couple of times, because I love choral music, but my voice isn't really strong enough. I used to sing all the time at primary school, but these days I can't sing in front of other peeps (except behind the anonymity of a computer :)
Well, speaking of House_Fest, perhaps I should drag the laptop out into the sunny garden and start thinking about a story.
BFN!

Usually, he writes Midi arrangements for his favorite songs - he likes classic rock and blues (eg The Band, Eric Clapton, Robert Johnson - that kind of stuff). He also plays in a band (bass + vocals).

^^ Maybe I should try my luck once more. But I don't think I'd want to learn to pick on an acoustic guitar. At the moment, though, the budget won't allow an electric one ;).
What sort of singing do you do? Are you in a choir?
I was, when I was still in school, but haven't joined another one after I graduated. I usually sing only for myself and my mp3 player ;). I have a friend who likes to sing and play music, too, and sometimes, we play together (she also plays the guitar). I'd love to sing in a band, but so far I haven't found one that can make use of a female singer (my kind of music is usually the kind sung by men with loud, strong, raspy voices ;) ).

Good luck! I guess I'll go to poke my H/W scene some more. Maybe it'll finally do something interesting (or rather, IC ;) ).
