I feel like such a bad person for being so relieved it's not my performance he's pulling out of. But then, I'm unreasonable where David is concerned. I just hope he'll feel better soon, and not only because I want him and not Bennett as Hamlet on the 1st.

Poor Bennett. I just hope the audience won't be too cruel.

Poor David! He's such an amazing person for caring so much about the audience and being sad that he's going to disappoint them. Awww I love him so much! (:
I'm sorry for all the people who are going to miss his performance and I hope he will feel much better soon!

I know! But even though that's the case, I do hope he'll be back soon. Because I know how I would feel if he were to miss my performance on the 1st, and it's not a feeling I'd wish on anyone. D:

Aw, I feel so bad for him. He must feel awful. I sure would!

Still, I rather think he could use a bit of a break, so I hope he takes full advantage of his recovery time.

And it doesn't sound like audiences are being too nasty. Standing ovations? It actually sounds like the audiences are being quite generous about the intimidating role the understudy has had to take on. Which, you know, good for them.

Oh, and it sounds like he really needs to start watching his back. Isn't that the second back injury he's had, or am I imagining things? I thought the wire work he had to do for the S3 finale hurt his back, didn't it?

I know from experience that back injuries are REALLY hard to recover from. They have this tendency to sort of...never go away. They're just better or worse.

I read somewhere that it's an old back injury acting up. So either it's the injury he got while filming the s3 finale, or it's an even older issue that caused problems when he had to fly across the room as Tinkerbell Jesus, and that is causing problems now as well. Whichever, he should be watching this. I don't want him crippled and unable to move by the time he's 45. :(

I'm sure he does. He's the type to feel worse about this than some of the fans, lol.

I only skimmed the article the first time around, but yeah, no, I think the audience is being nice. Which is good! If they hadn't been, David would have had to feel even worse. ;)
