Daily update, or somesuch thing.
Lol such failure. I worked all afternoon and then had the funnest time ever getting home (more about that later). When I was home I realized that I was feeling sort of crappy and decided to crawl into bed with my laptop and my X-Files season 1 boxset, planning to make it an early night (well, earlier than usual).
That was at about 11pm. It's now 4.30. FAIL.
But who was I to resist the lure of watching Mulder being an adorable dork? And I spotted both CKR and Nick Lea in season 1! X-Files just keeps unfolding like a flower (yes, this was an X-Files reference. Cookies to anyone who recognizes it).
Right! There's the exciting tale to tell of how I did not get home as planned after work! My workplace isn't even all that far away - 20 minutes by car - but the public transport connection sucks. I have to change trains every two stations, basically. So I was trying to get back around 7, which is apparently rush hour time at a Thursday evening, and so my second train was stuffed so full of people that I had to take the next one. The next one, however, turned out wasn't completing the usual route, but was terminating at the stop after the one where I got on. I was pretty fed up at that point and decided to simply catch the bus that leaves from that stop and passes my stop on its route. It does take about three times as long as the train, but I know from experience that when the train people fuck up one thing for you, they won't stop till you get off any train for good. So when I get to the bus stop, the last bus has just left, and the next one won't leave for another 20 minutes.
This is how I ended up spending two hours traveling a distance that any car could have mastered within twenty minutes. I WANT MY CAR BACK.
Going to see the GF tomorrow! That's happy-making :). Also, apparently the cure for not being able to write on the computer is ranting about it on LJ. LOL WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT. I made that last post, and then I went and wrote my House/DW fic finale. Whatever.
HAI GUIS. I'M FRESH OUT OF SHOWS. You might be able to tell by my going back to watching X-Files. I guess this means I'm losing my six-months-clean chip. Anyway - can anybody tell me when my shows are going to be back on? My shows being:
Doctor Who
House
Supernatural
Heroes
SGA
Dexter

And does that Phoebe chick have the worst fake British accent or what. I lol every time I hear her talk.
RIGHT AND RIGHT. MORE SURPRISES xD. Watching X-Files is so much fun, because I've seen all the episodes, but only have a sketchy recollection of what's going to happen, and most of the time, I get it wrong, so the plot does surprise me from time to time :D.
