I'm usually pretty good about cutting spoilers. I don't mind them, but I enjoy the option of looking or not. I hope I haven't posted anything spoilery. :(

Don't think so, no. There was one occasion of a mod posting uncut season 4 spoilers at a DW comm, and I was like, duuude, failure much?

Spoilers, no matter if most people already know about them or not, belong behind an LJ cut. I mean, it's not that much trouble! And not cutting makes some people very unhappy.

I have a hard time saying when the spoiler title should be lifted. If there is a show that I ~*~really~*~ care about, I will stay offline until I've seen it. I also understand that people don't always have easy access to the shows, but where do we draw the limit? Should every plot point be put under a cut? I think that gets out of hand.

But, spoilers before the episode has aired anywhere would make me cry. I try so hard to stay unspoiled because it ruins the show for me. I am so happy that the other mods of communities I'm involved with read spoilers because I won't touch those threads with a ten foot poll.

I stay away from spoilers best as I can, too, but the whole staying offline till I've seen it doesn't really work when it's Doctor Who season 4 we're talking about, which won't be airing till March or April.

I go about cutting spoilers in that way that I put all spoilers about un-aired episodes behind a cut, and then anything that's more detailed. Like, I wouldn't cut something like, 'Omg, in SGA 4x17 Ronon tickles John's ear!', but as soon as I start talking about major plot points or things that would really spoil the fun for someone who hasn't seen it yet, I put it behind a cut. Mostly I'd do that even without considering the spoilers, because chances are it'd be a tl;dr ramble xD.

Yeah, my general approach with new Doctor Who episodes is not to go online after it's aired until I've seen it. I'm not a spoilerphobe, really, but I just dislike knowing the particulars! Also, it completely spoils a lot of people's enjoyment, which sucks. Punching things ensues!

Sadly, I'm too addicted to the intarwebz to do that. I do stay away from comms, though. My f-list is really good about cutting spoilers, usually, though. No idea what DW fandom was smoking tonight to suddenly forget about the LJ-cut function.

i usually rant about people being unable to grasp the concept of cutting for spoilers about once a month when house is on. because i have to WAIT for the episode to become available to download, HELLO PEOPLE, NOT EVERYONE LIVES IN THE STATES AND HAS THE LUXURY OF SEEING THE SHOW ON THE TV AT THE SAME TIME AS EVERYONE ELSE

EXACTLY! Gah, it's worst with American shows, because they're on air over there when it's late late late at night over here, and in the mornings when I'm still half asleep and turning on my computer, I don't always have the presence of mind NOT to check the f-list first thing.

But then, my f-list is rather good about spoilers. Usually.
