House and Torchwood
There has been much interesting television going on. So this is where I talk about it. Loads of spoilers, obviously.
Ahahahahaha this is so typical. I decide to leave, and things take a turn for the OMGSQUEEAMAZING. This makes me a little depressed about House being such an annoying fandom, though.
ANYWAY. Asgjkdlfadik what was that last episode? I mean, NOT COMPLAINING, but what was that? Was the whole duckling thing really the only thing that made House so boring and annoying for the first half of the season? And now, House/Wilson is canon! House's statement about how Wilson/Amber was like House/Wilson made my eyes pop out, but when Wilson walked up to House later on and told him he was right? OMG! I was wishing for an anvil to drop on Amber.
So I honestly think we might have a chance of getting real H/W canon. Maybe in the way Due South got real Fraser/Ray K canon. Only that Wilson would never go on a trip through the arctic with House, but I guess you know what I mean.
THIS WOULD HAVE MADE FOR SO MANY AMAZING PROMPTS IN GHL. MY TIMING FAILS.
So TW wasn't quite as amazing as House this time. BUT there was lots of Rhys, and there was Gwen deciding to stick with Rhys and not go with Jack, which made me yell with squee.
The main plot was rather idiotic, if I may say so, and Jack getting all sentimental over the big alien blob was... unnecessary. All the Gwen/Rhys had me bouncing, though. Jack's confession in the end made me roll my eyes.
He doesn't love Gwen. All he's doing is reflecting. He always picks the people he can't have. Of all the TW members, he picked Gwen why? Because she's in a relationship. He is head over heels for the Doctor why? Because the Doctor could never be in a relationship in the classic sense.
Why does he do that? Because he likes to keep the sex impersonal. He's shagging Ianto, so he can't fall in love with him, that would ruin all the excitement. He's not and never will be shagging Gwen, so he needs to fall in love with her. He's quite predictable that way, really. I just wish he'd get over it and make Ianto happy, because Ianto deserves it and unrequited love angst makes me yawn (that's the problem I always had with Martha. She's a nice girl and all that, but her angst made me jittery with impatience and annoyance.).
Speaking of Ianto, he's quickly becoming my favorite character. Way to go, writers.
And, and, and! The preview of next week! Grey = Blythe! OMG! I love Blythe! Wheee!

Ianto became my favourite character a couple episodes. I didn't like him in the beginning but now I can't even remember why I didn't. Jack needs to do the right thing by Ianto and make an honest man out of him. WEDDING BELLS!

WORD! xD
Noo, no wedding bells for Jack and Ianto. I don't want to see Jack in a real relationship, because that would only end badly. I don't want him pining, either, though. I mean, I'm okay with him pining for the Doctor, because everybody pines for the Doctor, but Gwen? Nah...
