Blackpool
So I spent the last six hours or so watching Blackpool.
I know this was a 2004 production, but it had SUCH a nineties look to it. Or maybe that was just me.
Anyway, the singing was a bit weird sometimes, but I could live with it. I knew half the actors again and couldn't place them, as usual.
And, and, and. David. Eating all the damn time. Omg. And then making out. With a reasonably hot and likable chick. Omg. Omg. I don't know if I want to imagine what Casanova will do to me.
Right! Back to the plot. Uh, yeah. Complicated much? I liked it, though, that in the end, everything turned out okay for everyone without any Dei ex Machina. Well, more or less. I knew that Danny was gay from the start. He really did play the gay son very well.
Um, yeah, so. Enough attempt at a proper review. Back to David. Mhmmm, so many hot and pretty scenes. Him as the Doctor, that's hot enough, but him actually trying to get into a woman's pants? Aghfdsklhg. And I think this was enough lusting, this is taking on creepy-stalkery dimensions.
Oh. Oh. The accent. He used his real accent. Homg.
It's now 7 in the morning and I have an appointment at 11.30. I'm wondering if I should even go to bed? *headscratch*
David now officially has his own tag. There you go. He's the first individual person to get his own tag on my journal. I think I should be worried.

I'll be sending Blackpool either today or tomorrow - depends if I make it to the post office today or if I fall asleep first xD.

I am actually somewhat embarrassed by the amount of times I have seen Blackpool (though admittedly I often just fast forward through and watch my favorite scenes which chops down the viewing length considerably).
I think that Peter Carlisle is probably my favorite DT character of all the stuff I have seen him in (which is nearly everything that has aired on the television or in a movie theatre, which is rather embarrassing to admit as well). I mean, Peter is frankly just delicious (and I am not just referring to the oral fixation). There is just something so passionate yet vulnerable about him that is just so sexy and contagious.
He is so made of win.
For some reason watching him just gives me these butterflies in my stomach and I feel like I am 14 again. It's weird to have such a visceral reaction to a fictional character, but I do.
And yeah, to be crass, I would so hit that. Um, yeah.

I loved his character, too. Can't say yet if he's my favorite character ever, haven't seen enough with DT in it yet. But he's definitely a candidate. I do love the name Peter.
I would so hit that
Hell yeah.

And not just constantly eating, but constantly sticking things in his mouth!*coughtoescough* Oh, and the dancing. Oh, and did you catch the bit where he's crossing the street, and in the background there's the Doctor Who museum? Had a good chuckle at that. And, and, and.... I'll shut up now, shall I?
You. Must. Watch. Casanova. Soon!!

Yes! Mrowr. Lol xD.
I did not catch the bit about the museum, no! But I'm pretty sure a rewatch will be in order soon. I'll look out for it! :)
I shall watch it as soon as I have it xD.

Oh, I totally love that part. It's just so entertainingly ironic (as, I believe, it might have been before he got the role). Here's a screencap for you,
It's during Episode 3 and is when Peter is meeting up with Natalie at a diner to talk and she asks him to kiss her like he means it and all that.
Oh, and I wholeheartedly agree with

Thanks for the screencap! Ahaha that's really something. This would have been 2003 or 04, I guess, since BP aired in 2004. So Eccleston et all would have been shooting s1 of DW at that point. No, he probably really didn't know that he was going to be cast as the Doctor. Lol xD.
And, yeah. Casanova tomorrow, hopefully :D.

But, yeah. I get why he would be. Do I ever.
