As I said, I'm overly sensitive when it comes to dubbed shows. It's mostly because there's really so much of the characters lost, and I'm such a character freak - I usually watch shows for the characterizations and the character development.
I wouldn't mind subtitles, myself - I don't like them so I don't use them when I watch DW, but I can live with them. Many people really can't deal with them, though, and then there's the point of some people having a reading disability, which you'd have to consider if you're thinking about subtitling a show instead of dubbing it.
