Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Soundtrack Squee

So I've just watched Torchwood 2x01 in a fangirl chat, and I should really go to bed, because I think my brain has turned itself off a couple of hours ago already (I'm entirely relying on the Firefox spell check here; if I didn't have that, this would be riddled with typos, gah), BUT THERE IS ONE THING I WANTED TO SAY BEFORE I GO. (Also, I just realized it's 5am and this is my third post today. SORRY, F-LIST! I HAVE A LOT OF THINGS TO SAY! TRUFAX!)


I so, so love so damn much that Captain John has a variation of the accompaniment tune of House of the Rising Sun as his "theme music". Listen to the soundtrack of his first scene and tell me that is not a slightly rewritten version of House of the Rising Sun. It fits so well, because he has this whole Western thing going, and, yeah, I admit, HotRS is a corny country song, but the guitar tune sounds mysterious and sly and very badass Western bandit like.

And they use it again, a slowed down version, in the scene when John tries to convince Jack to join him - on the roof shortly before he kills him. I get so excited about this, I can't even really enjoy the scenes.

The Soundtrack is AWESOME!!

But we already know they have awesome soundtrack, since the Dr.WHO soundtrack is awesome too. And I really want that CD I showed you earlier. :-)

I want the TW soundtrack too!
And HotRS is an awesome song. :-)

Yeah, the soundtrack is awesome in general, but this HotRS thing just blew me away. I was like, wait, wait, I know that song, what is it OMG IT'S HOUSE OF THE RISING SUN NO WAI HOW AWESOME IS THAT???!!11!!1eleventy!1

It makes me all bouncy xD.
