Haha, well, I didn't get the explosion I was expecting. This new fandom is going to keep me constantly off-balance! I CAN play nice - it's just remembering what the expectations are in any given place online, which can be tricky.
(Hell, I once joined a very closely moderated family-friendly ADD board after spending most of my online time not just on lj, but on Fandom_Wank. I don't have any issue with how clean and supportive the mods on the ADD board have to keep things; but until I adjusted, I think I nearly got myself banned. Too used to !LOAD THE SNARK CANNONS!)
Lol, well, the people who are now leaving House are mostly people who weren't all that happy with all the wank in the first place. Aren't they?
Well it never bothered me much, personally - it's mostly lulz-worthy. And I guess I'm not "leaving," unless the damn show never comes back or something(!)
But you're probably right about a lot of the House fen leaving because they can't stand the wank anymore...I hadn't really considered it from that perspective, and I've certainly seen people on my list say something to that effect.
