Happy New Year (and a meme)

Oy! I missed online New Year! Happy new year, y'all!!

I spent my New Year's Eve with neery, sexy_severus and wihluta at sexy_severus's place (who doesn't have any intarwebz, which is why I didn't post on the 31st to let you know I'd be gone.) and we had wonderful fannish fengirl tiemz xD. We watched lotsa Doctor Who, lots of vids, Maybe Baby, listened to lots of fennish fandom songs (I think Sevvy's poor neighbors know the lyrics to I can't decide by heart now), sang along, talked about fandom, took photos (which will find their way online as soon as I have them :D) and had a lot of fun alltogether. Wih and I were wearing our cosplay costumes of Ten and Jack Harkness. Neery sadly left her Master costume at her own place, which is why she only put on a tie which was very worthy of Wilson, and Sevvy was wearing jeans and a fun t-shirt and had a cane that Wih had stolen from her granddad. Fun times.


So now I'm in wihluta's city, because it's her birthday tomorrow and I don't want to miss the party. Sevvy came along as well, while Neery left this morning (she had to take care of the cats). I'm using a Linux computer in this uni's library, and it's very shiny (Linux, I mean. The library, too, though.). I've even worked my way through my f-list already, but I didn't leave a lot of comments, mostly because I'm lazy. Sorry!

Right, I don't really do New Year's Resolutions, usually, but there are a few general things I hope will work out this year.
- uni in the UK. PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE?!
- less procrastination.
- more finished fic.
- more books (it's appalling how little I've read in the past year. I really need to read more. Especially because there are lots of books that I actually want to read!).
- more movies. I missed so many movies this year. Not going to happen in 2008!

Uh, I think that was it. There's more, but it's not that important. The three final items above could actually be counted with the second one, lol ;).

I hope you all had a wonderful start into the new year, and I hope this year is going to work out better than 2007 for everyone (especially if your 2007 sucked, but if it was awesome, I hope this year will be even more awesome! :D).


There's this meme going around about how many fics one has written in 2007. I actually didn't want to do it, but it's a meme. They're addictive. So I'll do it after all! Lol, me = predictable.

Sunday. Why, why is it that I can't write porn?

Is This The Real Life?

Guilty pleasure story:
Get Me To The Church On Time. Sappiest wedding fic ever, oy xD. And Alone. So much pointless angst! And a dead baby, lol.

Easiest story to write:
The Migraine

Story I'd like to revise (but probably won't):

Story I wish I'd finished:
Stabbety!Wilson. Oy :'(. Well, I might still finish it. Someday.

Story I didn't write but swear I will, someday:
That Jack/Ten fic. The one with all the ANGST and the happy ending xD.

Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
I wrote PWP and found out I suck at it xD.

All in all, not that bad. They're all way too short. New Year's resolution: write longer fic!

Happy New Year! Also, I apologize for not being around. I meant to comment on the RL meeting post, but somehow forgot during work craziness. Anyway, if you're still meeting, I'd try to come.

Nobody really did anything about that meeting so far - neery and I both sort of procrastinated thinking about the details xD. But yeah, the meeting is still supposed to happen someday, so stay tuned, lol.
