Christmas Post

Haha, look, I'm back already. Can't keep me away for long ;D!

Yay presents! For all of you who don't know, in Germany we open our presents on Christmas Eve rather than the 25th, which means I already have mine xD. I got lots of cool stuff: a book on origami, which is cool because I love origami, a book on coffee which I'm addicted to (the coffee, not the book), the special edition DVD of my favorite movie ever, Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail, a new notebook, the first book of the His Dark Materials series, a calender, clothes, and of course the House/Wilson Grace Kelly vid edited by [livejournal.com profile] tli which you can download here.

ETA: Totally forgot about my shiny new computer sound system and a huge (80x60 cm = 24x31 inches) collage of photos of American license plates from 28 different states. The collage sounds like a nerdy present, and it probably is, but I think it's awesome because it looks pretty and I love collecting stuff. I'll post pictures! ;D

I did not get the Converse Chucks I asked for, because my mom can't order over the internet (she's a smart woman, really, she went to university and everything, but ordering stuff over the internet? No way.), but she did give me her credit card details and said, 'go ahead and buy whichever shoes you want', so that's what I did. Here's to them getting delivered before New Year when I'll need them for my costume.

We all had a good time, my family and me, but we called it a night rather soonish because my sister has a doctor's appointment at 8am tomorrow morning (it's nothing serious, just something she needs a check-up for tomorrow, no matter whether it's Christmas or not. She's rather annoyed about it.), which gave me the opportunity to make this post. Yay! ;)

Today in church (me personally, I wouldn't go to church, but it's a thing my family does on Christmas, so I went along), there was the usual Christmas sermon, and everybody was dozing off while the priest was going on about Christmas and Jesus and world peace and stuff, until suddenly, everybody perked up when he said:
"Well, you all know Tina."
Everybody's like, Uh, what?
"Tina is well known to each one of you."
Everybody: What the hell is he on about?
"You really don't know Tina?"
Everybody: No, we freaking well don't know Tina. What are you talking about?
"There Is No Alternative. TINA."
He then proceeded to talk about how in everyday life, it's often that we have to choose the smaller of two evils, but on Christmas, it's not like that etc etc. It was weird, though. I myself thought he was talking about some girl who'd been on the news that I'd missed (I tend to miss important news), my dad thought he was talking about some saint he'd forgotten about (he tends to forget about stuff like that, lol), and my older sister actually thought the priest had done one sermon too many and was cracking up. It was cause for great puzzlement, our priest's Tina ;).

Right. So, Christmas Eve has come and gone. Now it's time for Doctor Who! Xmas Special yays! :D

He better like them. BOOKS ARE GREAT.

And I've seen the movie before, and I do quite love it. :D Monty Python is A+++++. I almost got The Meaning of Life too but I am trying to spend wisely. But that's next. And then The Life of Brian, if I can ever get it in stock again.

Hm, yes I guess. I get every year the same. Money. My granny gives me every year 50,00 Euro and my parents too. But this year was better than last year. Last year my nephew (17) gave my parents and my granny a photo of himself. This year he gave one also to me not just to my his grandparents and his Uroma. I´m glad about the photo.

Yeah it´s a lot money and I promise I don´t do that again. It was a little bit money in ebay and I never expected that I got that bike because it´s a lot more worth, normally, I guess. I was very surprised as I got it and the seller was very very disappointed. Hm, okay it´s not interesting for you, I guess. Hm, well I promise I´ll use this hundred Euronen for my next vacation. You are agree with that plan? ;-))

[identity profile] chaoskir.livejournal.com 2007-12-27 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
Nope!!!
I do love my bikes!
Did I told you just the fragment that I bought this bike because I ordered something in the www twice?
I´m sorry. I mean, it´s right, it was in the www., I ordered by ebay and it was my fault (I do two small bids) but it wans´t really twice (except the bids, I bid twice but small bids and just for only one - the same - mopped). I mean, ähm, hm, well, see ... hm, it´s difficult to explain. It´s my mopped (it´s really a motorbike with 500 Kubik) but if I´m talking about it I always say Fluffy (it´s his name) or "mopped" even if it isn´t really a mopped because it´s much faster YEAH!!!! And it´s just metal, no Plastik (in the moment it´s not able to drive) Oh wait, before I´m boring you ... I´ll stopp right here and I don´t talk again about that theme, I promise. ;-))

[identity profile] chaoskir.livejournal.com 2007-12-27 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Well I forget to write that I bid for he same Mopped I already have (currently both of them are in pieces *sigh*) and drive since I was 18 (before I drove a Mofa and a 80ziger but that kind of Mopped I drove every time). Oh and as I got the Mopped-license it wasn´t expensive. I got the license because I wasn´t able to pay for the car license (that was much more expensive). The car driving license I got as I was 20 years and earned a bit more money but the license for the Mopped I got as I was 18 for just 500 DM.

Uaaah t_eyla, don´t say you don´t mind if I talking about moppeds. You have to stop me!! Please you have to mind something against (me) talking about that theme. I´ll never stopp of my own if you don´t stopp me.

Computer sound system yay! What sort did you get?

How did that TINA thing work in German? Es Gibt Keine Alternative wouldn't make for a good acronym.

Hee, I didn't know that about that custom, cool - I did know a German lady who always had real candles on her Christmas tree which freaked me out. Of course, she just laughed at me :)
