It's art!

So Licia posted this extremely cool art WIP of Barbossa from PotC recently. She is drawing it to give it to her dad for Christmas.

Well, I was still lacking a present for my mom, and so I shamelessly stole Licia's idea and drew Captain Jack Sparrow. My mom doesn't particularly like him, but she loves handmade gifts, and I've always wanted to draw him anyway. Hope you don't mind, Licia! :)

Well, the drawing did take me about 7 or 8 hours to do. I just did it in one go, because I wanted to get it over with - now I have all my Christmas presents, yay ;).

I have so much fun drawing these characters. You did a fabulous job with this one; he's gorgeous. The colors and details are beautiful.

And, anyway, they're pirates, so it's perfectly acceptable for you to steal them. ;D

They are very interesting-looking characters, aren't they. All those beads and hats and wrinkly linen clothing. I did get a little impatient with him, though, at least towards the end ;).
