Hee, so, she's back. Ah well. I was actually hoping she wouldn't come back, because they had such a nice good bye scene, and I really like this thing about the Doctor how he's never with anyone specific for very long.

But then, I can't WAIT to see the happy when Ten meets her again. Aww, only thinking about it makes me grin like a loon (not that I'm that big of a Ten/Rose shipper, but I am that big of a fan of Ten being TEH HAPPY ;D ).

Whew. With all the build up, this was actually sort of anti-climactic.

ETA: C'mon, people, what's with all the hate? Who actually cares who the Doctor's with? He's great with anybody! And stop whining that the show is going to start being ALL ABOUT ROSE OMG. Doctor Who was on its 19th season before Billie Piper was even born.

Hee! I have approximately the same reservations as you - that it would sorta undermine the whole "Doomsday" thing, but I'm really hoping for an episode where everyone's happy and maybe people can kind of get over their angst?

It's not really such a huge spoiler. But it's made fandom totally explode, and that's sort of amusing. :D

It is VERY amusing. I need to check fandom_wank later on to see whether there were any Rose-haters and Rose-lovers going at it like mad cats, lol.

Some happy after all the angst of the last few eps of s3 would be nice! But then, we'll get Donna as a companion in s4, so there should be plenty of teh phunney, anyway ;). [<= s4 companion spoiler].

Actually, that was the first thing I thought when I read the spoiler: "Oh, f_w is gonna have a field day with this!"

I'm very, very excited about said s4 companion spoiler. I think we should bring more of the funny and less of the angst! You can be dramatic without being depressing. Trufax.

Very trufax. [Runaway Bride] was extremely funny, but there was so much underlying angst as well. It was brilliant.

I'm really happy she's back and I wish it was forevers, but it does kind of take away some of the impact of Doomsday. But I'm sure that episode will totally make me cry still.

Hee. Well, I have to admit, I don't want it to be forever, because, as I said, I like the Doctor being with different people over time. But having her back will certainly make for a couple of very, very sweet scenes, and I'd never say no to that, lol ;).

So I haven't seen "Doomsday," but my mother warned me about it, and I was so sad about her departure from the show. (After seeing two random episodes! I think the first thing I said when I saw Freema was, "Wow, she's hot. Uh, where's Rose?" Poor Martha.) My heart breaks for the Doctor every time he makes that WAH ROSE emoface. (And, and, GAH. Is the Christmas Invasion the one with the, um, attack Christmas trees? Someone on my friends list last week ranted about, "OMG killer Christmas trees!" and I was all, "...Doctor Who?" But no, his ACTUAL 8-foot Christmas tree fell over on him. I tried not to laugh.

Time Crash is the extremely awesome 7 minute Children In Need Doctor Who Special that aired a couple of weeks ago. Ten meets Five! And has a complete fangasm about it, it's so awesome to watch. They did that really, really well. My icon's from Time Crash!

I'm fine with Rose as a person, except sometimes her jealousy-- which should be interesting with Donna and Martha and whoever else is around. I am not fine with the Doctor being an emowhore, especially when it makes him obliviously assholish (shakespeare code anyone?)

Ah well, I think Shakespeare Code was just the Doctor being completely oblivious to basic social interaction, AS USUAL, lol ;). It was sort of assholish, but I don't think he meant it that way. And I did like the Rose angst, because I'm a sucker for that sort of angst (when a character loses someone). I'm okay with her being back, I just hope they won't bring her back for longer than a couple of eps, because that would feel sorta off somehow.

I was soooo sad when Rose got stuck last night. I mean, I'm not such a huge fan of the character itself, I just felt so bad for her (like I felt bad for Sarah Jane in that school ep.) Having had all this and then losing it again. And the Doctor being so sad too. And... it just broke my heart.

so, yeah. Can't wait to see TEH HAPPY on Ten. :-) YAYAYAY

Yeah, it's very heart breaking. It was heart breaking in a good way, though, so I wouldn't actually have had anything against them leaving things as they were. Just another scar for the Doctor *evil chuckle*.

But then, as I said. Nothing wrong with some happy! I love the happy. Especially when it's Ten doing TEH HAPPY! ;D
