hausvilson is now an open community for fanfic and fanrecs only. There are strict posting rules in place, as can be seen ::here::.
I can only encourage all H/W writers to join. I liked the original idea of hausvilson as an invite-only comm that was open for everyone to watch. I have followed today's events very closely, and I do not think it was an attempt at a clique-comm or an elite-gathering. It was simply an attempt to condense the immense flood of fannish posts popping up every day on![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
house_wilson.
But since fandom did not seem to agree with this idea - I guess this was due to mistakes on both sides - hausvilson is now open to everyone. No reason to assume clique- or elite tendencies anymore. The only thing the community asks of writers is to use a proper header, add the appropriate warnings to their fanfic and use a beta and a spellcheck.
(For the record: I did not get an invite to the original hausvilson comm, and I knowmoony only from the fic she recently posted at h_w. I am rooting for the idea of hausvilson, not for a friend of mine or any personal reasons.)
I think this is what House/Wilson fandom needs. I love house_wilson, but for reading, it's simply too big and the posts are from too many genres. It gets frustrating after a while. Hausvilson could be a solution to this problem that everybody could be happy with.
