Language woes

OMG. This is embarrassing. You know how the word "fic" is a completely normal, ordinary word in English? Of course you know. Well. In German, it's not. "Fick" in German is the translation for the word "fuck/to fuck". Which means that if you start talking about kidfic, fanfic, deathfic or futurefic in German, you come across as this really creepy, paedophilic and necrophile person with these strange, creepy hobbies.

It can lead to really embarrassing situations.
