Old Who!

I hope you guys are all having a great Halloween! Or just a great Friday night.

I'm having an awesome lot of fun watching Old Who stuff. I watched the movie first, because I figured that I should maybe have watched the existing canon before trying to write Eight.

Lol, that movie is bad. I loved it.

Lee (laughing): You're killing me!
Master (dead serious): You want me to kill you?
Lee (slightly sobered up): Er, no. You make me laugh.
Master (sourly): I am glad one of us is amused.

♥♥♥

Paul McGann does a great job as Eight. Sadly, the plot makes no sense, the melodrama is painful in places, and the companion sucks. But at least Eight gets some sad rain as well. Sad rain, and even a sad thunderstorm. And the Terminator look does suit the Master, I must say.

Regeneration does make the Doctor go a bit loopy, though, doesn't it? A motorbike chase? That's just adorable. Which brings me to the other bit of Old Who I watched tonight (Hah, see what I did there? Is that transition smooth or what.), which is Robot, Four's first episode.

I have a feeling that I will love Four a lot. He was such an awesome kind of crazy after regenerating, and that note he left for SJS could have been written by Ten. "Hi, have gone to deal with trouble. See you later! - PS: I'm sure I can handle the trouble. - PPS: I'm leaving this note in case I can't." Aww. ♥

I must admit that I'm not overly fond of SJS (please don't kill me) - she annoys me. She did so in the SJS Adventures as well, just not as much. But Four is fun, and the episode was - well, it's 1974. A robot in 1974. (When the robot shot the professor who built him, he sighed, "Oh, I have killed the one who created me!" in a really dramatic voice and collapsed, which did make me laugh.) But other than that, it was clever, funny, and did make me want to watch more.

Oh, and I still love the Brig. I loved him in The Five Doctors, and I love him even more now. The poor man, being saddled with the Doctor. I love how he's all 'oh sheesh, not again' when the Doctor regenerates. Yeah, it seems like regenerations used to be a whole lot less of a big deal.

Anyway. I managed to acquire the first three parts of The Ark in Space. (I got so close to getting the forth one as well, but then megaupload wouldn't let me get the last two bits. Adfsdj want torrent back.) So I think I will go and watch that now, at least until I fall asleep.

Nano tomorrow! Lol, I'm a lot less nervous than I was a week ago. But then, I'm also a lot less convinced that I'll actually make it, so... heh. We'll see.
