X-Files!

I've just been to an X-Files double feature.

HOMG NO ALIENS IN THE SECOND MOVIE?! HOW CAN THERE BE NO ALIENS?

*clears throat* Sorry. I had to get this off my chest. Let's start at the beginning, shall we?

Fight the Future on the big screen! :DD Back when it was released in 1998, I was still a wee kidlet, and my mom wouldn't let me go see it at the theater. But now I have seen it on the big screen, after all! For the win, seriously. Moast awesome experience ever. This movie was not made be watched on a TV screen barely the size of a stamp. And lol, I never really noticed - but the finale of the movie? Has maybe 5 lines of dialog in at least 30 minutes. It's very cool, actually.

I Want To Believe - the plot was on crack, and weird, and rather pointless, BUT I DON'T CARE because the Mulder/Scully relationship was AWESOME and there was hurt!Mulder and there was Skinner taking care of Mulder which was totally a homage to the slashers who worked hard to keep this fandom alive all these years.

Lol, I don't even know. I'm totally not objective on this, because X-Files for me is this show that you watched as a kid and fell in love with and crept out of bed late at night for when Mom wasn't home. I think the movie was quite bad, but I loved it anyway. Mulder! Scully! Mulder with a beard! Mulder doing the pencils-in-ceiling thing! I wonder what he does when he's bored and in a room that doesn't have a styrofoam ceiling. And there was CKR being a bad guy! With a whacked out Russian accent, lulz. And a husband o.O. Wtf random gayness, lol. And there was a Frankenstein's Monster plot, which, um, okay, not so cool. But it was okay, because Skinner took off his jacket and wrapped it around Mulder to keep him warm and Scully and Mulder had the most adorable pillow-talk-without-the-sex scene, and they were all together on this huge screen, and I was simply filled with too much fannish joy to not enjoy it.

Yes. This totally sophisticated and thought-through review was brought to you by T'eyla, full-time fangirl, part-time whackjob. G'night, y'all! :D

Lulz, IL this mood icon.
