I don't mind concrit at all, so thank you! I can see your point - it's a bit of a grey zone in Gene's character. He'd definitely be the type to interfere, but I think he's also a person who's very aware of the consequences of his actions. I think it would depend on what exactly he saw. Which I conveniently didn't describe in the fic xD.
