Vidding Woes
Vidding would be so much fun if there were even only one useful vidding program. I downloaded Sony Vegas again, and I still love that program so much! It's perfect! Except for the small problem where it doesn't read Xvid encoded avi's as long as the Xvid codec is installed. No, I didn't get that mixed up. Sony Vegas does not read Xvid if you install the Xvid codec. Do not ask me why, because I haven't the faintest idea.
Well, so I didn't install the Xvid codec. Which seemed to be the solution to all problems, until I wanted to render the vid. I guess I'm lucky the computer didn't explode. It died, though, was killed dead by Sony Vegas which seemed to be looking most frantically for the Xvid codec in order to encode my vid.
So, I'm now rendering the vid as wmv. I despise wmv. But what can I do? Video codecs hate me.
ETA: The wmv thing didn't work, either. So, what I'm doing now is convert all my episodes to DivX. Because Sony Vegas does read DivX. Even when the codec is installed. *headdesk*
